Particularly, it aimed at answering the question: 1. What are the problems that translators face when they subtitle language expressions within cultural context from English into Arabic ? To achieve the goal of this study, the researchers selected a convenient sample of 4 Translators . The instruments used in this study were a translation test which consisted of 10 culturally-bound expressions selected from The American movie namely, "Scent of a Woman". Results of the study revealed that translators faced different kinds of difficulties when subtitling culturally-bound expressions.
