Abstract
The demand on natural gas is increasing every day. Almost every
company needs it in large quantities, but the source of natural gas is
limited. Therefore, natural gas has to export all over the world to reach
the purchaser.
The formation of hydrates in production, processing facilities and
pipelines has been a problem to the natural gas industry that cost a lot of
money.
There are a large number of investigations about this phenomenon. Some
chemical methods and technologies have been used in order to inhibit the
hydrate formation in pipelines or to predict it; the aim of research studied
the problem of gas hydrate formation in natural gas transport flow lines,
which leads to freezing then a blockage in the transmission line that result
in stopping gas flow rate. Using software (Aspen Hysys) in the Hamada
field by entering basic data from the daily operating conditions. Gas
hydrates are treated by maintain the temperature within permissible limits
This study reveals that the temperature and pressure (80O F / 950 psia) in
the Hamada field (well v-10/ well AA5 / well AA10) under daily
operating conditions, gas hydrates do not form in the transmission line
and that the temperature is the main pattern for the hydrate to be formed .
